Adding medias

Good to know:  When you rename or move a page in the Website explorer, links to assets are automatically updated to keep working links. This way you are sure that your visitors won't face 404 errors.

Adding images

To add an image to your page, follow these steps:

  1. In the Parts collection area (left panel, under the Website explorer), open the Media section
  2. Drop the Image element on your page

OR

  1. Select an element on your page
  2. Click on the arrow in the quick toolbar that opens above
  3. Select Insert above or Insert below , depending on the location you want to insert the image
  4. Select Media > Image in the Insert element dialog

Then:

  1. When you select an image, the Image tools contextual tab appears in the ribbon
  2. Click on Change Image to select an image from your Web site assets
    OR
    Click on Browse the Web to find an image using Bing services

Images rendering options

By default, images will take 100% of page content width.

If you want to override this feature (for smaller images for example):

  1. Select the Styles and layout panel on the right of the window
  2. Check the Respect original size option to preserve image original dimensions
    The image will still be responsive as its max-width is still 100% of the content width

Images optional properties

You can activate the zoom plugin by checking the option Zoom image on user click in the Element properties panel . When your visitors click the image, it will become bigger in the center of the page to see it fully.

Images services

Find images on the Web using Bing services

Note:  This service finds images on the Web. Some images may be subject to copyright. Please make sure you have the right to use them on your Website.

  1. Click on Browse the Web to find an image
  2. Type some keywords in the text field and click on Search
  3. Once you have found the image you want, select it and click the Insert button

Adding videos

Note:  Video preview is not supported in the designer.

To add a video to your page, follow these steps:

  1. In the Parts collection area (left panel, under the Website explorer), open the Media section
  2. Drop the Video element on your page

OR

  1. Select an element on your page
  2. Click on the arrow in the quick toolbar that opens above
  3. Select Insert above or Insert below , depending on the location you want to insert the video
  4. Select Media > Video in the Insert element dialog

Then:

  1. When you select a video, the Video tools contextual tab appears in the ribbon
  2. Click on Change Video to select a video from your Web site assets
